Athlete Pinki Pramanik gets bail

New Delhi, July 10 (ANI): The North 24 Parganas district court today granted bail to Asian Games gold medallist Pinki Pramanik, accused of raping a woman. Pinki was first detained and subsequently arrested on June 14, following charges of raping her live-in partner, after being accused of being a man. The athlete was made to undergo gender determination tests, after her live-in partner, an estranged woman, alleged her to be a man. The results of the tests are yet to be made public.
