Veteran actor Anupam Kher has been acting in bollywood films for over two decades now. Starting his career with the film ‘Aagman’ in 1982, the actor went on to feature in award-winning film ‘Saaransh’ in 1984, for which he won Filmfare Award for Best Actor. He also won the award for Best Supporting Actor for the film ‘Vijay’ in 1988. For his role in the film ‘Daddy’ in 1989, the actor won Filmfare Critics Award for Best Performance. The actor is also known for tickling the funny bone of his audience through his comic timing in films like ‘ Ram Lakhan’, ‘Lamhe’, ‘Khel’, ‘Darr’, and ‘Dilwale Dulhainya Le Jayenge’. He also won National Film Award ‘Special Jury’ for the film ‘Daddy’ in 1990 and ‘Maine Gandhi Ko Nahi Mara’ in 2006. Kher is also known internationally for films like ‘Bend It Like Beckham’, ‘Bride and Prejudice’, ‘The Mistress of Spices’, ‘Lust, Caution’ and for appearing in the hit TV show ‘ER’. The actor is active in theatre and has written a play on his life called ‘Kuchh Bhi Ho Sakta Hai’. The veteran actor also ventured into direction with ‘Om Jai Jagdish’ in 2002 and produced ‘Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Maara’ in 2005 and ‘Tere Sang’ in 2009 under his production company ‘Karol Bagh Films & Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.’ Anupam Kher has also written the book called ‘The Best Thing In You Is You’. Recently, the actor has launched a fiction book of the author ‘Komal Mehta’ in Mumbai.
