Chikankari craft amalgamates all cultures

Lucknow, June 25 (ANI): In Lucknow the rich amalgamation of Islamic and Hindu cultures is well reflected in many aspects of the city. The architecture, cuisine and the arts and crafts of the city have a distinct Mughal influence. Chikankari, a kind of embroidery, is one such example that is synonymous with the Lucknowi heritage.Its delicate designs and patterns have found many takers the world over and have also managed to bind together Hindus and Muslims with a common thread.
