Congress bids farewell to Pranab

New Delhi, June 25 (ANI): The Congress Working Committee today met to bid farewell to veteran party leader and presidential candidate Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Defence Minister A K Antony praised Mukherjee for his five-decade-long union with the party and invaluable contribution to the UPA government. Talking to mediapersons after the meeting Mukherjee thanked the party and said that it was an emotional day for him. Pranab will resign as Finance Minister tomorrow and would be filing his nomination for presidential poll on June 28.
