DM Murder: SC upholds life sentence of Anand Mohan

New Delhi, July 10 (ANI): The Supreme Court today confirmed life sentence for former Bihar MP, Anand Mohan for his alleged role in the murder of a district magistrate, G Krishnaiah. In 1994, both Mohan and his wife, Lovely Anand, were arrested along with other politicians for inciting a mob that led to the killing of Krishnaiah. A trial court had earlier sentenced Mohan to death and his wife to life imprisonment, but later the Patna High Court acquitted his wife and commuted his death sentence to life term.
