India successfully launches RISAT 1

Sriharikota, April 26 (ANI): India today successfully launched the radar-imaging satellite- RISAT 1 from Sriharikota in Chennai, which will help to forecast natural disasters and enable the planners to predict the agricultural production and forecast. Addressing media persons, ISRO chairman K. Radhakrishnan said that the satellite was very precisely injected and has been targeted to cover an orbit of 480 kilometers plus or minus 20 kilometers.
