J’khand, Odisha join hands to curb illegal mining

Keonjhar, Aug 22 (ANI): Jharkhand and Odisha have joined hands to curb illegal mining in the iron ore-rich regions of the states. A team of senior officials met at Keonjhar district in Odisha to discuss about the rampant illegal mining and smuggling of the ores. Jharkhand Home Secretary, J B Tubid said that various IT methods were discussed to keep a check on the movement of minerals in the two states. He added that movement would be closely watched under strict surveillance to curb illegal transport of mineral across the states’ borders.
