Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar's most ambitious and much hyped and Kareena Kapoor starrer ‘Heroine’ has got an A certificate from the Censor Board. This hasn’t surprised Bhandarkar, who was prepared for it. After all, he is fully conscious that his film is loosely based on the reality behind the world of glitz and glamour as his earlier films f ‘Chandni Bar’, ‘Page 3’, ‘Satta’, ‘Corporate’ and ‘Fashion’. Moreover, the movie has very intense scenes enacted by Kareena Kapoor though after a long time. So, Bhandarkar posted on his Twitter page: “Countdown begins for the launch of the poster and promo of Heroine". The movie also stars Arjun Rampal and is expected to hit the theatres on Sep 14.

Kareena is in the news for another reason too. She has edged Parineeti Chopra out of director Puneet Malhotra’s next flick starring Imran Khan. Significantly, the director had chosen Parineeti over several other ladies. However, the luck went against her. Apparently, producer Karan Johar being a great pal of Kareena Kapoor, decided in her avor. Another reason is that Kareena Kapoor recently quit Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s coveted ‘Ram Lila’ in the hope of bagging the KJo movie. Punit had no choice but to agree on casting Kareena though the role didn’t fit her too much.
