NCP-Cong tussel: Pawar likely to skip PM’s dinner

July 23, 2012

Mumbai, July 23 (ANI): Apparently, there seems to be no end to the tussel between Congress and its UPA ally the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), as sources reveal that the NCP leadership met today and decided to skip the dinner being hosted by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the honour of outgoing President Pratibha Devisingh Patil. What might add fuel to speculations of growing unrest between the allies, is the fact that NCP chief Sharad Pawar has reportedly told Minister of State for Rural Development Agatha Sangma to stop attending office till further instructions. Moreover, Agatha is ready to quit as and when directed by the party. Maharashtra state NCP Chief Madhukar Pichad said that monthly meetings of coalition parties were essential.
