Pataudis waiting for marriage

Marriage doesn’t seem to be coming too soon in the Pataudi family. The scion of the family is Saif Ali Khan. Though his actor mother Sharmila announced Saif’s marriage with Kareena Kapoor on Oct 16, 2012, the same doesn’t look like coming. Saif’s actor sis Soha Ali, who is eagerly waiting to do her duty for brother’s marriage, isn’t sure about the D-day. Recently, Saif was confronted with the real problem of Kareena’s post wedding career. Saif made it very clear that he isn’t just a perfect marriage material but also a supportive would-be hubby who believes in equality between a man and his wife! On being asked, how he and Bebo are dealing with the issue of married actresses being less favored in B-Town in comparison to their male counterparts, Saif replied that both of them have talked about it a couple of times. He also said that Kareena is conscious about this being a reality. Though he assured her that marriage won’t impact her career, but she’s fairly realistic that in some ways it might and it will. On the other hand, we learn that Saif’s ancestral home, Pataudi Palace is under renovation. Some reliable source informs that the marriage may take place in London. Circles close to Saif and Kareena feel that the change of venue from Pataudi Palace to London is presumably to avoid a big gathering.
We have earlier said that the Pataudi family is faced with marriage problem. Yes, it’s true. Saif’s sis Soha Ali Khan and her boyfriend Kunal have rubbished reports that they are set to tie the knot by November 2012. The wedding plans are yet to be put in place, says the couple. When asked if they will pip Soha's brother Saif Ali Khan and actress Kareena Kapoor to the wedding post, Kunal and Soha say it’s not a race! Incidentally, Kunal, whose last release ‘Blood Money’ fared average, is currently shooting for Saif's home production ‘Go, Goa, Gone’. Soha was last seen in ‘Soundtrack’ and is busy with Deepa Mehta's ‘Midnight's Children’. But, one thing is clear that the Pataudi family has accepted Kunal and has hosted him at their palace too. However, Kunal –Soha marriage has also been hanging fire for quite long time. Sharmilaji is braving the scenario, especially after hubby cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan’s (Nawab of Pataudi) death.
