Sweeper gives patient stitches at UP hospital

Bulandshahr, June 10 (ANI): The State authorities in Uttar Pradesh ordered a probe, after media reports surfaced that sweepers and ward boys were operating on patients at a government hospital in Bulandshahr. A social activist, Lakshmiraj, said that there were no doctors and only wards boys at the hospital, who stitch wounds and administer vaccines. Meanwhile, a hospital assistant said that there were times when doctors were not available, so these ward boys who were trained for several years attended to patients in an event of an emergency.
