U’khand, Kerala cut petrol hike up to Rs 2/litre

Dehradun /New Delhi/ Lucknow/Kanpur, May 24 (ANI): Considering the recent petrol price hike, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna announced a 25 percent cut in value added tax (VAT) on petrol in the state. Interacting with mediapersons in Dehradun, he said that people will have to pay nearly 1.87 Rupees less per litre of petrol. Responding to the Congress appeal, Kerala government has also decided to cut sales tax on petrol by Rs 1.63/litre. Meanwhile, the protests against petrol price hike is growing in the country.
